Supervision: What would I want a supervisor for?

This is a question I often hear from my coaching peers. If I am honest I initially struggled to answer it. Not because I am judgmental but because to me the question would be “How could I not have a supervisor?”

Thinking about it I noticed a parallel between talking to people about my coaching work and talking to people about my supervision work. Most people I come across have heard the term “Coaching” but don’t know exactly what it is or how it works and yet once they’ve tried, there’ s no coming back. The same happens with supervision, I can not think about not having my own supervisor.

So what came to mind is that maybe there wasn’t a clear understanding of what supervision can do and how it can do it.

Over the next few weeks I will talk about some of the benefits you can get from Supervision.

To make sure you don’t miss out on them, subscribe to my newsletter, you can also enter into a prize draw at the end of the series.

In the meantime, here is a question for you: What do you think some of the benefits of supervision may be?
